摘　　要： 从中心城市建设角度分析了珠海的有利条件、存在的困难和问题,提出了相应的对策和建议。认为珠海虽然具备建设成为区域性中心城市的不少优势,但仍然受到许多因素的制约;指出珠海要建设成为区域性中心城市必须在与整个珠三角协调发展的前提下,充分发挥自身优势,进一步改善对外联系的交通条件和激活"双港",建设成为立足珠三角西部,面向西江流域的重化工业中心和能源与新材料工业中心、交通中心和信息与物流中心、生态农业和海洋产业中心、产学研中心和旅游中心。 Zhuhai has advantageous conditions for becoming a regional central city, but also has some restrictive factors: small economic scale and low economic benefit, week radiant capability and attraction, unremarkable advantage in industry, low level of export-oriented economy, remote ness and underdevelopment of its hinterland. It is considered that for construction into a regional central city, Zhuhai should bring its superiority into full play and coordinate its development with the Pearl River Delta (PRD). The key should be to cultivate and develop the advance industries, enlarge space of the city and heighten economic efficiency, improve external transport facilities and strengthen connection with nearby regions. As a regional central city, Zhuhai should base itself on the western part of the PRD and face the Xijiang valley to develop heavy and chemical industries, energy and new material industries, transportation and logistics, information and tourism industries, and ecological agriculture and marine industries, as well as education and scientific research undertakings.
