摘　　要： 本文论述信息产业的主要功能是 :通过提升产业结构和工业化的品质促进生产力的发展 ;通过改善流通手段、方式和制度 ,提高流通效率和整个社会资源的使用效率 ;提高企业和政府的管理水平 ;促进文化科技知识的传播和普及 ,促进文化、教育的产业化、大众化发展。 This article talks about the main roles of information industry.Through the improvement of industrial structure and industrialization,information industry can advance the development of productive forces and the efficiency of circulation plus the utilization of society-wide resources through the promotion of circulation means and system.It can better the management level of enterprise and government;It can also help to spread science and technology knowledge and to develop the industrialization and popularization of culture and education.
