摘　　要： 系统功能语言学认为 ,语境与语言使用有互为预测的关系 ,语境体现为语篇的语言选择 ,语篇的语言选择构建了语境。本文以系统功能语言学的语域理论为基础 ,以出现在广州报章中的语码转换为语料 ,探讨一个语域变量 ,即基调与语码转换之间的关系。文章分别从角色关系、权势、社会距离三个次范畴以及正式程度方面 ,对报章中的语码转换加以分析 ,揭示了语境对语言使用的制约作用 。 Assuming that language choices in texts are conditioned by context which in turn is construed by the language in the text, the authors attempt to investigate the correlation and relationship between the variable of tenor and the code switching instances in several Chinese newspapers in Guangzhou. In so doing, four aspects of tenor, namely, role relationship, power, social distance, and degree of formality, are discussed by reference to the detected code switching patterns across sections or genres of the newspapers.
